My Review
I was first introduced to Alice Clayton with Wallbanger, the first book in this series. Wallbanger was actually my birthday present. It was waiting for me on my Kindle when I awoke. I have to say, Simon for my birthday was a pretty sweet gift. From that moment on, I became a huge Alice Clayton fan. I loved Wallbanger but let me tell you, Rusty Nailed hits it way out of the park.
Rusty Nailed is such a perfect read. There are so many reasons why I love it. First of all, the characters in this story are all amazing. Caroline, Simon, their friends, and finally, Clive, my favorite cat, are a unique blend of personalities that make this story all the more entertaining. They each bring this story to life in their own ways, each adding sprinkles of perfection.
I also loved the location where this story takes place. I visited Sausalito with my husband and it was one of the best trips I have ever had. I love this place! The Bay Area is the perfect setting for this romantic tale. Both with Wallbanger and Rusty Nailed, I was really able to picture all of the places detailed in the book. So as you can see, the story truly came to life for me.
Additionally, I bake, and I too have a relationship with my KitchenAid mixer. So I can totally relate to Caroline and her taste in appliances and kitchens! This is another reason why I think it is totally awesome.
The story… I floved it. Caroline and Simon have been together and their relationship is going strong. In this story, their relationship evolves. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments and the right amount of romance and sexy moments too. After all, Simon and his hammer… 🙂 Whoa…
Caroline’s career advances. Her job becomes more demanding and finding that perfect balance is key for both of them. Between the job, house sitting, the reunion, their friends and Clive, this story is packed with awesome from beginning to end.
Simon, he continues to be sexy, swoon-worthy and oh so hot. It was great to watch him grow in this book too. He gets better and better. Trust me! Just like Caroline, we also learn more about Simon. There is a tenderness about him that I totally admired in this book.
We get a little more than a glimpse into the lives of their friends we met in Wallbanger. I can’t wait to read more about them in the next book.
And Clive, I don’t want to spoil this by telling you too much, but you will love Clive in this book. He truly is a special character.
So, if you haven’t read Wallbanger yet, you need to get to it right away. While you are add it, get Rusty Nailed too. Both books make perfect summer reads.
Grab a drink, a Wallbanger maybe, and your books and enjoy this fantastic series.
Alice, you are truly a talented woman. You write the best romantic comedies. Thanks for bringing readers like myself so much joy.

About the Author
